The Cheshire Image Clinic was established in 1989 by the Clinic Director, Michelle Irving SRN, NIP. It comprises a team of dedicated, self-governing nurse professionals, who are all members of the Aesthetic Nurses Forum at the Royal College of Nursing.
All Cheshire Image Clinic treatments are performed as just one element of a structured medical programme of health care, the primary purpose of which is the protection, maintenance and restoration of the physical. emotional and psychological health of the patient concerned.
Michelle was a founder member of the first national network of aesthetic nurses and is one of only two nurses voted twice by her peers onto its steering committee. As part of this committee. she has been instrumental in producing an unprecedented document – the only set of written aesthetic standards currently available in 2007 for any health professional undertaking non-surgical cosmetic treatments.
A further development of this role has meant that Michelle has been partly responsible for the introduction and expert content of the Diploma, the first recognised qualification in aesthetic practice.
The Cheshire Image Clinic team, who are pioneers in the field of aesthetic medicine. was the first aesthetic company to employ Nurse Independent Prescribers.
Excellent office support staff provide invaluable back-up in management, nurse co-ordination and patient contact roles. They are often the patient's first point of contact with the clinic and are therefore trained and experienced in dealing with all the patient's requirements.
